Creative Design and Process Re-Engineering

With over 1,500 skus and growing, Nunu was in desperate need of a professional image and new process to manage and produce their product catalogue both online and in print.

Cyclone gave Nunu a new image to help elevate their brand and our web based asset management system re-engineered their product catalogue. The system enables Nunu to self-maintain and publish their catalogue, while the e-commerce component transacts orders on-line. This has increased internal efficiencies and resulted in higher sales, lower overall costs and improved customer service.

Client

Nunu Educational Products is a distributor of educational toys, games, shelving and furniture to schools and daycare centres across Canada.

Discovery

Nunu has a broad base of suppliers in Canada and abroad and securing print-ready material from these suppliers in time to publish and distribute their annual catalogue was a major challenge.

With no facility to update prices, or to add or delete products once the catalogue was distributed, Nunu was losing sales opportunities.

Strategy

Cyclone Creative proposed to convert Nunu's static print catalogue to a dynamic, web based platform with e-commerce functionality. Using the web platform, Nunu would be able to edit product information and prices as market conditions and availabilities change, and as new products and suppliers are added. An e-commerce backend to the catalogue would make it easier for customers to purchase and it would shorten the time between transaction and product delivery - increasing customer-satisfaction. The platform's content asset management system would also maintain and simplify the process required to produce the print versions of the Nunu catalogue throughout the year, as required.

Outcome

Nunu's sales have increased significantly since the online catalogue was launched. The company has also been able to expand its product offerings, lower its sales costs and improve its customer service thanks to the online catalogue.
